TOUR OVERVIEW
Climb Mount Kilimanjaro via the Scenic Lemosho Route
Experience the ultimate Tanzania mountain adventure with an 8 Day Lemosho Route Mount Kilimanjaro Climb to the summit of Africa's highest mountain.
The Lemosho Route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the western side, beginning in the lush rainforest before climbing through the heath and moorland of the Shira Plateau. The route then continues through spectacular high-altitude landscapes towards Lava Tower and Barranco, before reaching Karanga and Barafu Camps ahead of the summit attempt.
The 8-day itinerary provides additional time for acclimatization compared with shorter Lemosho variations. It also separates the Karanga and Barafu stages, giving climbers a shorter day before the demanding summit attempt.
The final ascent begins during the night, leading through Stella Point to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 metres (19,341 feet), the highest point in Africa. After reaching the summit, descend through the Mweka route before returning to your hotel.
With experienced mountain guides, mountain crew support, carefully planned camps and a gradual route profile, this is an unforgettable way to experience Mount Kilimanjaro.
